How to Order an
SSL/TLS

An SSL/TLS certificate secures your website by encrypting data between your site and its visitors. To order one, please follow these steps:
1. Choose the right certificate type
Domain Validation (DV): Basic encryption, fastest to issue.
Organization Validation (OV): Confirms your business identity.
Extended Validation (EV): Highest trust level with the most verification.
Single Domain, Wildcard, or Multi-Domain: Depending on how many domains or subdomains you need to secure.
2. Generate a Certificate Signing Request (CSR)
This is done on the server where the certificate will be installed.
The CSR includes your domain name and company details.
Your server or hosting provider can help generate this if needed.
3. Place the order
Submit the CSR when ordering the certificate.
Confirm the domain name(s) and certificate type.
Provide a valid email address for approval messages.
4. Complete the validation process
- DV certificates: Approve via email or DNS/HTTP verification.
- OV/EV certificates: Additional checks may include verifying your business registration, phone number, or legal documents.
5. Receive and install the certificate
Once approved, the certificate will be issued.
Install it on your web server (or ask your hosting provider to do this).
Configure your site to use HTTPS.
6. Verify and maintain
Check that your site shows the secure padlock icon.
Renew the certificate before it expires to avoid service interruptions.
